During the Korean war we lost many lifes. To honor the people that have lost there lifes in the war. There is a wall with the soilders names that have died on it. There are thousands of names written across these walls. There are thousands of names written across these walls in loveing memory of the people that gave up there lifes for use. Such as Ronald E. Niles ,and many others. I don't know who all these people were. But I know that they survied are nation. I appreciate what they have done for are nation , and all who live in it. Chantae Kieffer
For science the Boston land was covered with glaciers. These glaciers later melted and formed ponds called kettle ponds.

FW:

People are leaving flowers roses a boquea of flowers pictures papers and other personal items to the loved ones that dies. As we go down the wall you can see the thousands of names that are on the wall. The wall is divided by segments and or years. There are many flags by the names. Mostly a lot of personal items. Many people are very emotional and are taking pictures. It is very sad. There are a lot of personal items such as pictures golf balls flowers picturesand drawings. People are tracing the nams of friends of family members. There are also hats layed down by the names.
Today during the reef laying a trumpet player played taps to remember the soldiers who died that were unknown. Taps was a very slow song that had a very emotional connection to me. The trumpet player played very slow and loud. He was a very good musician and he played taps very well.

A little house on the hill...

Riley fun blog

At the Air and Space muesum Grant and I went on the simuator. On the simulator you control a plane that does it's actions. You can go upside down, side to side, and more. In the simulator you are a fighter pilot trying to shoot down the enemies. I have only been on the one in San Diego and you don't shoot anybody, you just fly. On the one in D.C. It was difficult to control because you had to be right on to kill the enemy. Although we only got 1 kill we had a lot of fun.

Riley math blog

The ratio of taxi cabs in time square is 1 out of 3. Meaning that out of every three cars there is a taxi. Sometimes you would think more. When you look in the street all you see is taxis. I even heard that 10 thousands taxis cross through time square in a day. It is just a rumor but it seems true. When I have seen time square on tv, I saw taxis, but not this much. I saw more taxis than any other car. It was suprising, but that shows you how much a tourist atrcation New York is.

This machine is what the engines were like in the World War 2. This engine would be in the planes. For someone to design this they must be a michanical engineer. This engine to be designed must be scaled down. The engineers drawings must be exact. Must have a lot of detail. If it is not exact, something could go wrong when the plane is in the air. The engineer who designed this must have designed other engines from cars, boats, and more. Michanical engineers are a huge part of transportation today.

Riley science blog

At the Air and Space muesuem there is a lot of engineering. There are planes, simulators, and space ships. The main thing these have in common is, they all have electrical engineering. Just like you see in this picture there are cords, breakers, and controls. These all use electricity. In the Air and Space muesuem ther is a lot of electricty, so that means there have been a lot of electrical engineers.

Each soldier is walking through a so called rice patty field. Each soldier has a gun helmet and long coat on. The coats are for to keep the soldiers dry when its raining and to camouflage the soldiers. There facial expressions seemed contrived and tired but fierce and alert at the same time. There are some soldiers that have a radio to talk into to communicate with others. All the soldiers seemed really tired.

The Lincoln memorial is significant because it is in honor of Lincoln himself. Coming up the stairs there were 18 marble stairs and this was where Martin Luther King gave his i have a dream speech. These stairs and memorial have a significant history because it does not only remember Lincoln but Martin Luther King also. This is the spot where African Americans got freedom.

The Veitnam War memorial is a bench mark for all the people who fought and died to preserve our nations ideals. When you look at the wall you are forced to look at your self. Poeple leave behind flowers, flags and plaks.

This is the Vietnam Memorial. On this wall all the names of the soldiers who died are written. For some people, this sis just a memorial. For others, it represents family members that they lost. This is a memorial that causes different reactions. For me, it is hard to be emotional because I consider death a part of life. Others stand in front of this wall and cry. I can ne interpretedf many ways.

Grant math. When w went to the united states capital on every wall there was a tesselation. The tesselations consisted of rectangles squares and trialgles. It was cool becaus the squares and rectangles mad triangles. Also there were tesselations on the floors of the building. There were multiple squares and rectangles on the floor.

At Lextington the miltia was arguing with the british where out of no where someone fired a shot and th british attacked and a couple people were killed. The second one at Concord where was when the american soldiers delayed the british so they could the weapons out of the farmhouse. Out of nowwhere again someone fired a shot and the british fired baclk but that was where america killed the british. The second one is what I think

Collins 1st math post

On Sunday we went to the battle sites of Concord and Lexington. We learned about the shot heard around the world and the different important events. This math post is going to being about the ratio of British and American soldiers at Lexington. There were 700 British soldiers to the 70 American Militia. The 700 to 70 ratio is about 10 1. That means that every american soldier that soldier had to face 10 British soldiers. The british were considered the strongest aemy in the world
