Riley fum blog

When we went to see the Statue of Liberty, we went to Battery Park. There I asked this guy if he was selling fake rolex's, and he was, so I bought one. It is gold and silver and makes me look professional. That night we went to the brodway play and it looked fancy mattching my dress clothes. It is great and I will wear it a lot. I love it!
Grant fun. Today we went white water rafting. This was a big highlight of the entire trip. At the first level 3 wave i fell into the river. The river was so warm and it felt really good. Then we got to go swimming and during the time i was swimming i went down the rapids. Today was a lot of fun and i enjoyed it a lot. I want to go rafting again some time soon.

Jefferson Memorial

This is the Jefferson Memorial. It was built in honor of Thomas Jefferson. At his feet are books, a compass, and crops. This is because he was a farmer, aan architect, and very educated. He also invented french fries and ice cream. History.

The Civil War rifle was a major break through in american guns It used a spiral inner barrel. This made the rifle much more accurate unlike the musket it was a breach loading rifel that was fired by black powder. Black powder also knowen as gun powder was primarly composed of slufer, and charcol. The rifle also fetured a new type of bullet for that era of time. It was a cylinder which was more aro_dynamic.

Little Round Top

Here's the perspective from the observation tower where you can see Little Round Top (left) and Big Round Top. We drove over there and walked around on the hell that was the union's defensive position.

Maddie-in the end, there were about 28,000 confederate deaths and 23,000 union deaths. These deaths were in Gettysburg alone. Wow.

Collins 3rd history post

Today we went to Gettysburg one of the greatest battles of all of American Warfare. In this war it was all about 4 things the North, South, Slavery and Abraham Lincoln. The North or also called the Union were against the ideas of slavery of the black people and for the idea of blacks and whites are equal. The south or also called the Confederates were for the idea of slavery and hated blacks and whites mixed. Slavery was probably the most debated ideas in american ever. The Union hated slavery and Confederates were for it. Abraham Lincoln was our 15th president and was agins slavery and was murderd by John Wilkes Booth
Maddie-Gettysburg. Lincoln was the first republican president, and was in office durring the civil war. The Battle of Gettysburg is known as one of the most important battles ever. More men died here than in the viatnam, korean, and both world wars combined. Gettysburg was an amazing battle that should never be forgotten.

Little Round Top

Here we are at one of the union's defensive positions at Little Round Top.  In the previous place we visited with the observation tower, we could see Little Round Top in the distance.

Collins second history

Hey this is my second history post and this is on the debate of Babe Ruth. In about 1917 Babe Ruth debuted for the Red Sox he played for the team until 1919 when one of the biggest debates in baseball history. The Red Sox owner was putting on his own broadway play when he started running out of money. He decide to sell Babe Ruth to the New York Yankees. After the sell of Babe Ruth the Red Sox went over 87 years without winning a championship
Science grant. In new york there were many bridge designs that are used in all of the bridges. For example the brooklyn bridge is a cable design. There were also other designs that had both trusses and cables used in it to support all of the compression. in real life triangles are used in architecture. it is a fact!

Gettysburg Confederate Lines

We stopped to see the battlefield from an observation located at the confederate's battle position. Our tour guide, Don, showed us the basic tactics at the time, firing lines and flanking.

For fun grant. We went to amish country. The way the amish live their life is a lot different than the life of us. They are christains that do not live on electricity. Then when don was our tour guide he told us that the saying pop a cap is from the war that happened hundreds of years ago.

"The food at the Lincoln

"The food at the Lincoln Diner sure is guuuuureazy!"
