Collins second fun post

My second fun post is going be about where I think the shot around the world was held. The shot was considered to be held at either 2 spots Lexington or Condcord. At Lextington the miltia was arguing with the british where out of no where someone fired a shot and th british attacked and a couple people were killed. The second one at Concord where was when the american soldiers delayed the british so they could the weapons out of the farmhouse. Out of nowwhere again someone fired a shot and the british fired baclk but that was where america killed the british. The second one is what I think

Collins 1st math post

On Sunday we went to the battle sites of Concord and Lexington. We learned about the shot heard around the world and the different important events. This math post is going to being about the ratio of British and American soldiers at Lexington. There were 700 British soldiers to the 70 American Militia. The 700 to 70 ratio is about 10 1. That means that every american soldier that soldier had to face 10 British soldiers. The british were considered the strongest aemy in the world

Collins third science post

On Thursday we went river rafting which was my favorite thing on the trip. My science post is going to be on the bald eagle who is re populating to the area on the Shenandoah river. There used to be almost none living along the river now they are re populating and are found along the trees with there family

Today we went on a tour in the Capitol building we learned many things but wat intrested me the most was the engenering of the different statues. The statues were all important people from the 50 states of America. The reason I liked the engeenirng of the statues were all in different types of stones and different poses

Collins 1st science post

On Thursday we went to Gettysburg and toured the amazing battle field. We had a tour gide named Don who was really funny. He tought us about important facts including poison ivy. Poison ivy is a 3 leafed plant that causes a rath all over the place to touched the ivy. There is also poison oak which is like a vine that goes up the plant. The Oak and Ivy is very itchy and causes a rash.

if you paid a certian amount of money you could have insurance for plain insurance.

at our last day in new york before leaving the city, we went to the top of the rock. otherwise known as rockefeller plaza. the elevator ride up was almost as exciting as the view from the top! <3, marlee.

we had dinner at amish town, with a family style dinner by passing the plates around, and with home cooked food. they had really good food (and dessert!) and it was possibly the funniest dinner i've ever had. <3, marlee.

while we were in new york city, we found a toys r us. and being the mature eight graders that we are, we wanted to go in to look at toys, and found a ferris wheel. G so kindly bought us all tickets and we rode it for like ten minutes. it goes a lot faster than it looks! <3, marlee.

a fence is a good example of a tesselation, because it is a pattern that continues forever if needed to. it is made up of a lot of the same shapes (diamonds.) they fit together perfectly, making a tesselation. <3, marlee.

we went and saw a fairly new show on broadway called the addams family. it was a comedy and a musical, with the classic theme song at the start and finish of the show, of course. <3, marlee.

History from the capital
This is a picture of the statue freedom which was origiomally built for the domb of the tower. It was the third design created by Thomas Crawford . Now it is inside the capital.

This statue was finished in 1862. It was built to represent the freedom of the nation. It stands in the center of the main hall of the Capitol Building. History.
