Multimedia message

This is an arch bridge. The arch design can transfer tension and compression throughout its length to hold up the weight above it. Since the sides are rounded there are no breaks, and therefore, less weak points. The weakest point of an arch, is at the very top. The arch is made of brick, an excellent material for both compression and tension, making this bridge strong to withstand the weight on top of it. By Emily
